Learn to create tech packs in this online interactive course. From technical drawings to size chart creation, this course is perfect for anyone who wants to solidify their knowledge or get started, giving you the confidence to evaluate, research, and problem-solve your way to becoming a tech pack pro. Our digital expert, Laura Fish, will guide you through the fundamental steps involved in creating your own industry-standard step pack. You can choose the garment and the complexity level. We recommend a t-shirt as a great starting point or challenging yourself with something more detailed. What will I learn: ✨ Session 1 & 2 – Foundations ✨ Laura has worked with brands and retailers both big and small, so you are in expert hands!! She will cover all the burning questions you have about tech packs. ➜ What platform should I use? ➜ What needs to be included? ➜ How do I create a size chart? ➜ How do I share with factories & clients? With guidance from Laura, you will start compiling the information you need to create your very own tech pack based on your chosen garment!! ✨ Session 3 & 4 – Creations ✨ With our tried and tested tech pack templates, Laura will guide you through creating your industry-standard tech pack in either Illustrator or Excel. ➜ How to create a technical flat - hand-drawn or CAD-created ➜ How to use our tech pack templates ➜ How to add points of measure & call-outs ➜ Where to find resources for technical knowledge ➜ How to use this as a “working document” with factories & clients Walk away armed with the templates, know-how, and skills to start your journey as a technical designer. By the end of this course, you’ll be confidently creating industry-standard tech packs. Cancellation Policy
By booking onto any of our services, you agree to the following guidelines. These are in place to ensure a positive, professional and enjoyable learning experience for everyone involved. Learning requirements: You’ll need the full app version of our training platform Hurdle, which we’ll provide for you. You’ll also need a valid full or trial version of the relevant software(s) for your course; usually either CLO or Adobe for the duration of your learning (please refer to our FAQs for the minimum system requirements for each software). For CLO training, a three-button mouse is essential (please refrain from using Apple Magic Mouse or Wacom tablets). We also recommend having a second screen, such as a monitor or tablet, to view your tutor’s screen more easily. A stable internet connection is also required. Professional conduct: We ask that everyone treat their tutor and fellow learners with respect and professionalism. Please be mindful of how much space you take up in discussions so that everyone has the opportunity to ask questions and take part. Attendance and participation: Please attend all sessions punctually and be ready to learn. If you’re unable to participate, let your tutor know as soon as possible. For group sessions, missing more than two sessions without prior notice or a valid reason may affect your certificate of completion. Our group courses are highly interactive and designed to adapt to the needs of the learners in the room. This means that the pace may vary depending on the number of questions and how much hands-on practice the group needs. We prioritise understanding and confidence over speed, so occasionally, not all advertised topics are fully covered within the live sessions. Each course is carefully designed to ensure you still achieve the intended learning outcomes, even if the session content is adjusted to suit the group. Cancellations and Rescheduling: If you need to cancel a booking, please do so at least one week prior to your session. For tuition sessions, we’re happy to reschedule if you give at least 48 hours’ notice. For group sessions and masterclasses, please note that rescheduling isn’t available once a booking is made. Agreement: By joining our learning sessions, you acknowledge that the live training may adapt based on the group's needs and engagement levels. Our focus is on ensuring every learner feels supported, confident and equipped to apply what they’ve learned.
