What will I learn?

Fashion and textile designers are under pressure to create innovative prints, adapt to AI, and streamline workflows, often without structured support. This course helps you make that transition with step-by-step guidance on print design foundations, AI-assisted creativity, and 3D visualisation. You’ll learn to develop concepts, master repeat workflows in Illustrator and Photoshop, and output production-ready files with confidence. Designed for print and textile designers wanting to future-proof their skills, this course combines traditional knowledge with the latest digital tools and AI platforms. You’ll start with core print categories and layout planning, then progress through advanced digital techniques, ethical AI use, and 3D garment visualisation. Support is available throughout via our dedicated forum. A basic knowledge of Adobe is helpful but not essential. You’ll need trial or full versions of the software to take part. ✨Building the Foundation✨ ➜ Print categories, scale, and layout planning ➜ Trend forecasting, concept boards, and colour palettes ➜ Repeat structures and silhouette considerations ✨Digital Print Workflows✨ The fun part! By booking onto any of our services, you agree to the following guidelines. These are in place to ensure a positive, professional and enjoyable learning experience for everyone involved. Learning requirements: You’ll need the full app version of our training platform Hurdle, which we’ll provide for you. You’ll also need a valid full or trial version of the relevant software(s) for your course; usually either CLO or Adobe for the duration of your learning (please refer to our FAQs for the minimum system requirements for each software). For CLO training, a three-button mouse is essential (please refrain from using Apple Magic Mouse or Wacom tablets). We also recommend having a second screen, such as a monitor or tablet, to view your tutor’s screen more easily. A stable internet connection is also required. Professional conduct: We ask that everyone treat their tutor and fellow learners with respect and professionalism. Please be mindful of how much space you take up in discussions so that everyone has the opportunity to ask questions and take part. Attendance and participation: Please attend all sessions punctually and be ready to learn. If you’re unable to participate, let your tutor know as soon as possible. For group sessions, missing more than two sessions without prior notice or a valid reason may affect your certificate of completion. Our group courses are highly interactive and designed to adapt to the needs of the learners in the room. This means that the pace may vary depending on the number of questions and how much hands-on practice the group needs. We prioritise understanding and confidence over speed, so occasionally, not all advertised topics are fully covered within the live sessions. Each course is carefully designed to ensure you still achieve the intended learning outcomes, even if the session content is adjusted to suit the group. Cancellations and Rescheduling: If you need to cancel a booking, please do so at least one week prior to your session. For tuition sessions, we’re happy to reschedule if you give at least 48 hours’ notice. For group sessions and masterclasses, please note that rescheduling isn’t available once a booking is made. Agreement: By joining our learning sessions, you acknowledge that the live training may adapt based on the group's needs and engagement levels. Our focus is on ensuring every learner feels supported, confident and equipped to apply what they’ve learned.
