What will I learn?

Fashion designers are expected to design faster, adapt to AI, and explore new digital tools, often without clear support. This course helps you make that shift with step-by-step guidance on AI-assisted creativity, digital workflows, and modern presentation skills. You’ll learn to develop concepts, experiment with AI prompts, refine design variations, and prepare visuals ready for clients or portfolios. Designed for fashion designers wanting to future-proof their process, this course blends traditional design thinking with the latest AI and digital platforms. You’ll start with idea generation and trend exploration, then progress through AI-driven sketching, colourways, fabric and trim ideation, and collection building. Support is available throughout via our dedicated forum. A basic knowledge of fashion design is helpful but not essential. You’ll need trial or full versions of the software to take part. ✨Creative Foundations✨ ➜ Trend research and concept building with AI image generation ➜ Exploring silhouette, texture, and colour variations ➜ Understanding prompt-writing for creative outcomes ✨AI-Driven Design Development✨ The fun part! Learn how to iterate quickly with AI. ➜ Generating sketches, prints, and garment details ➜ Refining and editing results for stronger design intent ➜ Building coordinated variations for collections ✨Digital Workflow & Storytelling✨ ➜ Preparing AI visuals for presentations ➜ Combining concepts into cohesive boards ➜ Communicating ideas clearly to clients and teams ✨Industry Application✨ ➜ Ethics, copyright, and responsible use of AI in design ➜ File prep and presentation for professional use ➜ Streamlining creative processes with digital efficiency By the end of the course, you’ll be confident using AI as a design partner, creating original concepts, and presenting polished visuals. You’ll be able to merge creativity with digital innovation and move from idea to collection-ready outcomes with ease.
