What will I learn?
Fashion designers are increasingly expected to prototype digitally, experiment with silhouettes at speed, and communicate visual ideas across teams, without relying on traditional sampling. This beginner-friendly course helps you translate your design thinking into CLO3D, so you can develop concepts, explore styling, and create professional presentations with confidence. This pathway is designed for fashion designers ready to explore 3D tools for the first time. Whether you're a student, career changer, or seasoned designer adapting to industry shifts, you'll learn how to rapidly prototype ideas, experiment with colour and silhouette, and produce compelling visuals that bring your creative direction to life. All sessions are delivered online and recorded for flexible learning. Support is available throughout via our dedicated forum. You'll nee ✨Getting Started with CLO3D✨ ➜ Navigate the designer's workspace, use block garments and styleline tools for quick iteration, and style avatars for collection visualisation. ✨Fabric, Colour & Trim Exploration✨ ➜ Apply colourways, textures, and visual trims to build cohesive fabric stories and explore garment aesthetics in 3D. ✨From Sketch to 3D Concept✨ ➜ Convert 2D sketches into editable 3D designs, manipulate shape, and prototype silhouettes using creative tools. ✨Visual Storytelling & Presentation✨ ➜ Create high-impact renders, turntable animations, and hero shots to communicate your creative direction with clarity. What will I achieve? By the end of this course, you'll be able to turn fashion ideas into realistic 3D garments and present your designs through professional visuals and basic animations, supporting faster development, clearer design communication, and more creative freedom in your work. Learner Agreement - By booking onto any of our services, you agree to the following guidelines. These are in place to ensure a positive, professional and enjoyable learning experience for everyone involved. *Learning requirements You will need the full app version of our training platform, Hurdle, which we will provide access to. You will also need a valid full or trial version of CLO or Adobe software for the duration of your learning. Please refer to our FAQs for minimum system requirements for each software. For CLO training, a three button mouse is essential. Apple Magic Mouse and Wacom tablets are not suitable. We also recommend using a second screen, such as a monitor or tablet, to support viewing demonstrations. A stable internet connection is required. *Professional conduct We ask all learners to treat tutors and fellow learners with respect and professionalism. Please be mindful of how much space you take up in discussions so that everyone has the opportunity to participate. *Attendance and participation Learners are expected to attend sessions punctually and be ready to learn. If you are unable to attend a session, please notify your tutor as soon as possible. For group sessions, missing more than two sessions without prior notice or a valid reason may affect eligibility for a certificate of completion. Our group courses and masterclasses are interactive and adapt to the needs of the learners present. This means pace and content may vary depending on questions and the level of hands-on practice required. We prioritise understanding and confidence over speed, and while every course is designed to meet its intended learning outcomes, not all advertised topics may be fully covered within live sessions. *Cancellations and rescheduling If you need to cancel a booking, please do so at least one week before your session. For tuition sessions, we’re happy to reschedule if you give at least 48 hours’ notice. For group sessions and masterclasses, please note that rescheduling isn’t available once booked. *Delivery and adaptation By joining our learning sessions, you acknowledge that live training may adapt based on group needs and engagement levels.
