We teach industry-standard design software used across the fashion and textile industry.
You can learn the following software with us:
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe InDesign
CLO3D
AI platforms
Our teaching integrates AI in two key ways. We show how AI is being built into the design software we teach, such as Adobe tools, including Adobe Firefly, and how it can support creative and workflow-based processes.
Within our dedicated AI courses, we also demonstrate a range of standalone AI platforms. As AI tools evolve, the specific platforms we demonstrate may change over time. If a particular AI platform license is required for a specific course, short course, or masterclass, this will always be clearly stated in advance. Otherwise, learners are encouraged to explore and experiment with the tools demonstrated if they wish.
Yes. You will need to have the relevant design software installed in order to take part in our online fashion design courses and training sessions.
This can be either a valid full version or a trial version of the software. We will always let you know in advance which software is required for your course or one-to-one tuition.
Where AI platforms are used, these are web-based tools and do not require any software downloads. If a specific AI platform is needed for a course, short course or masterclass, this will be clearly stated on the relevant course page. You will usually just need to create an account, and we will let you know in advance if this is required.

CLO3D software: https://www.clo3d.com
No. Access to CLO3D software is not included as part of our CLO3D training courses.
However, learners can start with a two-week free CLO3D trial, which can be used at the beginning of the course to support learning and onboarding.
CLO3D account creation: https://www.clo3d.com
Learners enrolled on our group CLO3D courses are eligible to apply for a 50% student discount on an individual CLO3D subscription for six months.
Although CLO refers to this as a student discount, eligibility is based on being a CAD for Fashion learner, not on being enrolled at a university or college.
To access the discount, learners must:
Create an individual CLO3D account
Submit a request via the CLO3D contact form, attaching proof of enrolment on a CAD for Fashion course
CLO3D contact form: https://www.clo3d.com/en/support/contact
This discount is only available to individual CLO3D users and cannot be applied to enterprise or academic accounts.
Group courses follow a structured learning pathway and are ideal for learners looking to build digital fashion skills alongside others.
One-to-one tuition is fully tailored to your experience level, role and goals. It is particularly suited to professionals, career switchers, or teams seeking focused support in fashion CAD, CLO3D, or AI workflows.
We support learners across fashion and textile design, development and communication, using industry-standard digital tools.
This includes support with:
Digital fashion design and product development
Print and textile design workflows
3D garment visualisation and development using CLO3D
Design communication, presentation and approval processes
AI for fashion and textiles, including ideation, visualisation and workflows
Portfolio development and industry presentation
We also support teams, educators and organisations with digital skills development, workflow improvement and the adoption of new technologies.
When booking, you can specify which software, workflow or topic you would like to focus on.
If you are unsure, let us know your role, experience level and what you would like to achieve. We can recommend the most suitable fashion CAD training, CLO3D course or AI learning option for you.

By booking onto any CAD for Fashion learning service, learners agree to follow our learning guidelines. These are in place to ensure a positive, professional and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Learners are expected to meet the technical requirements for their chosen course, attend sessions prepared, and participate respectfully with tutors and fellow learners.
Our group sessions and masterclasses are live and interactive. Session pace and content may adapt based on group needs to prioritise understanding and confidence over speed.
Where possible, group sessions are recorded and recordings are shared with enrolled learners for personal learning only. Recordings must not be shared or distributed.
Occasionally, recordings may be unavailable due to technical or software limitations beyond our control and cannot be replaced.
Further details around learning requirements, conduct, attendance, recordings, cancellations and session delivery are outlined in our Learner Agreement.
Learner Agreement: https://www.cadforfashion.co.uk/learner-agreement
Skills Updates are short sessions designed to help learners stay up to date with new features, tools and workflows in industry software such as Adobe, CLO3D and emerging AI platforms.
They are ideal for fashion professionals who want to keep their digital skills current without committing to a full course.

We use different platforms depending on the type of learning session.
Zoom is used for one-to-one tuition, Skills Updates and mini masterclasses. https://zoom.us
Hurdle is used for our group practical courses, supporting collaborative and hands-on learning. https://huddle.live
Full joining instructions are provided in advance.
Learners are responsible for ensuring they have suitable hardware, software, and internet access to participate in sessions.
Minimum system requirements vary by software. We recommend checking the official system requirements for each platform before booking:
Adobe software system requirements: https://www.adobe.com/uk/products/systemrequirements.html
CLO3D system requirements: https://www.clo3d.com/en/system-requirements
For CLO3D learning, a three-button mouse is essential. Apple Magic Mouse and Wacom tablets are not suitable. We also strongly recommend using a second screen, such as a monitor or tablet, to support viewing demonstrations.
A stable internet connection is required for all live sessions.
Further details around learning requirements are outlined in our Learner Agreement.
