What CAD software can I learn?


We teach 2D computer aided design software: * Adobe Photoshop * Adobe Illustrator * Adobe InDesign * Adobe XD You can specify which software you would like to focus on when booking or if you are not sure you can let us know and we can advise on which would be best for what you want to do. You dont need to have the software to learn with us however we strongly advise you do purchase it so you can practice what you have learnt in between sessions. Do you offer 3D CAD training?


We dont currently offer training on specific 3D software like clo3D or Browzwear although it is something we are looking to introduce soon! What we can help with however is how to make your 2D CAD's look and feel more 3D and realistic using the adobe software. Whether it is advanced illustration techniques for garment flats or mock-ups for textiles, print and graphics we can help you to create strong visuals perfect for presentations, range planning and portfolio work.





Tuition

What do I need to prepare for my online tuition session?


Please download the Zoom app and join the call via your desktop computer, a working mic and speaker is necessary (usually built into your computer) however it is possible to join the zoom call via your mobile device. To get the most from the session please ensure you have the latest version of the Adobe software you wish to learn installed and if you know how, please enable the necessary permissions to allow Zoom to record your screen and have remote access to it. If you are unsure of any of this please do let us know we are more than happy to walk you through it. Feel free to arrange a call with a tutor if you have any concerns.




What topic do I choose?


Choose the topic most relevent to you, however dont stress about it. Each session is completely tailored to what you want to learn and our tutors are super skilled and highly adaptable... so start your session with garment flats and finish with repeat prints it no problem at all for our team.





Group Courses

Are the online group courses recorded?


Yes, you will recieve a link to the recording after each session. You will have access to this for 6 months following the course.




How many learners are in the group?


We allow up to 6 learners in each group, this way we can ensure you all get individual help a hopefully feel confident in asking questions and getting to know your fellow learners.




Do I get a certificate?


Yes! Although our courses are not accredited, you will recieve a digital certificate of completion, perfect for displaying on you Linkedin profile.




What happens if I miss an online session?


The online sessions are recorded so if you miss the live session you can still watch back and catch up with the content. You will also have access to the course group where you can ask questions and see what your fellow learners have been upto,




Do I need a licence for the Adobe software?


For the online courses, yes you do need your own licence for the relevent software. At our in-person courses the software and computers are provided for your use on the day.




Where are the in-person courses held?


Our host venue Sisu Studio is based in Kimberly, Nottinghamshire. It is easily accessible by rail and just minutes from the M1 with plenty of options for parking. We will send more details on parking and exactly how to find us closer to the time of your course.




Is lunch provided on the in-person courses?


YES!! We have a gorgeous independant cafe downstairs who have a delicious lunch menu for you to choose from (on us of course!). Let us know ahead of time so we can make sure, but they are great with different dietary requirements too.





Skills Updates

Who are these Skills Updates for?


Anyone who wants to keep their skills and knowledge fresh! Those of you already working with the software will get tips, tricks tools and resources to keep you learning whilst saving you time and headaches. Even if you dont use the the software yourself, these updates are great for keeping up with the latest in CAD. Perfect for managers and educators alike.




How often do the Skills Updates happen?


Our udates run monthly, usually on the second Tuesday at 18:50 BST

Can I get online training for my whole team?


Yes, we can train upto 6 team members at any one time, but a schedule tailored to skill levels and relevent content can be arranged to roll out training to larger teams.




Can we send a list of what we want to learn?


Yes, we can create completely tailored solutions to your team's needs in terms of upskilling, problem solving or simply refreshing software knowledge.




Will training be specific to our product type?


We approach each product type completely differently and will teach your team the most efficient techniques to get the best results. They will work in a unified way which makes all design assets easy to access and even easier to edit and re-purpose.




Where will training take place?


Training can take place online, on-site (if you are equipped to accomodate) or in-person at our venue in Kimberly, Nottingham.
