Join us to see how Adobe Illustrator can help you create accurate technical drawings and turn them into beautiful garment flats. High-quality Illustrator flats don’t just look good; they are also powerful tools in range building, strategy, sales/approvals, and communicating key design and technical details to suppliers and factories. Our fashion expert, Erica Horne, will take you through the best tips, tricks, and techniques so you can confidently create industry-standard garment flats. This course is the perfect follow-on from our flats fundamental course or for anyone already using Illustrator for garment flats in their design process. What will I learn: ✨ Session 1 – Best practice basics ✨ ➜ Super easy pen tool method ➜ Drawing with future efficiency in mind ➜ Tips, tricks & shortcuts If you are self-taught or still take longer than you would like to create your garment flats this session will transform your processes for the better! ✨ Session 2 – Take your flats to the next level ✨  ➜ Adding depth, drape & shadow ➜ Brushes; stitching, trims, gathers etc. ➜ Texture fills & instant recolouring ✨ Session 3 – All the extras ✨  ➜ Further efficiency tools & shortcuts ➜ Organisation & collaboration ✨ Session 4 – Working on your own CADs ✨  With your new tips and techniques at hand, this final session will allow you to work on your CADs while making the most of our expert tutor’s assistance. Erica is there to help you if you get stuck or if something isn’t behaving the way it should, as well as to provide advice and feedback on your illustration style and workflow. When will it take place?


Cancellation Policy

To ensure a positive learning experience for everyone, we ask that you review and adhere to the following guidelines. Learning requirements: • You will require the full app version of the training platform Hurdle, which will be provided by us. • You will need a valid full or trial version of CLO or Adobe for the learning duration (please refer to our FAQs for the minimum system requirements for each software). • You will need a 3-button mouse (no Apple Magic Mouse or Wacom Tablets, please). Note that this applies to CLO training only. • Optionally (but recommended), have a secondary screen (monitor or iPad) to watch the tutor's screen during training. • A stable internet connection. Act professionally and be respectful: • Treat your fellow learners and tutors with professionalism and respect. • Avoid any behaviour that may disrupt the learning process or disrespect others. Attendance: • Attend all scheduled sessions punctually, making every effort to be present and engaged. • If unable to attend a session, please notify your tutor in advance. • Missing more than two sessions without prior notice or valid reasoning may impact your eligibility for a certificate of completion. Note that this applies to group sessions only. Cancellation and rescheduling: • Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least one week before the scheduled session. • Refunds cannot be issued for cancellations made less than one week before the session. • If you need to reschedule a session, provide at least 48 hours notice. If rescheduling within 48 hours is unavoidable, please contact us at info@cadforfashion.co.uk. Note that rescheduling applies to tuition sessions only; group sessions cannot be rescheduled.
