What will I learn?

Learn to interpret trends to create industry-standard designs in this four-part interactive online course. Working with trend expert and freelance print designer Catherine Wise you will learn all the best tips and tricks as well as crucial knowledge so you can add trend-driven designs to your portfolio that will sell like hotcakes. ✨Mastering the process✨ Focusing on key trends and research methods you will: ➜ Learn the best sources of trend info (paid and free) ➜ Choose from key trends for Spring/Summer 25 ➜ Create your own moodboard/Research to inspire your personal print direction ✨Idea generation and motif creation✨ With guidance and tips from Catherine you will: ➜ Quickly generate ideas for multiple prints from your moodboard imagery ➜ Refine and develop these ideas into motifs ➜ Start to think about the composition of elements ✨Pattern creation and working on your own designs ✨ This final session will share our secret weapon in Photoshop for super easy repeats and give you the opportunity to work on your designs whilst making the most of our expert tutor there to help. ➜ Using Photoshop to quickly and easily create and edit repeats ➜ Create print variations and colourways ➜ Come away with a range of portfolio ready prints Catherine is there for you if you get stuck with the software or if something isn't behaving the way it should and of course for advice and feedback on your work. ➜➜➜ About our group courses: 🧑‍🎓 Small groups of maximum 6 learners 🙋‍♀️Practical and interactive, so cameras and mics on, and ask as many questions as you like! 🎥 No frantic note-taking here!
