Skills Update: Generative Ai for Fashion and Textiles

AI is here to stay and it is time to get familiar with it. You may have heard of Chat GPT or Midjourney and even seen AI pop up in common tools such as Grammarly... however, the real power for us designers is in generative AI. Our team have been researching and playing around with various different tools both within the Adobe ecosystem and further afield and we can't wait to share them with you. The potential for instant recolours, and instant asset creation is unlimited. 

For some the thought of AI may feel like it's the end of skill and originality, however, we challenge you to think about it differently. Without the tedious and time-consuming tasks  of your day-to-day and with extra skills at your fingertips, imagine how much exploration, ideation and play you can do without the ticking clock of commercial budgets dampening your vision. 

We will also be sharing a little about Adobe AI strategy for the future; its ethical practices and its plan to allow you to train your own AI model and even licence it for others to use... again, we are SUPER excited for this one so be sure to grab a ticket now.

At CAD for Fashion, all our tutors are designers as well as lecturers, so we use and teach the software every day. This means that over the years we have developed, collected, stumbled across and researched the best tools and shortcuts to make your lives easier. 

You will come away from this event with a better understanding of generative Ai for fashion and textiles, whilst hopefully feeling positive and inspired about the future. As always this will be followed by an opportunity for a Q&A with our experts. We will be recording the session so you can rewatch at your own pace too.
